About Us
My name is Dacia Murillo. I am the oldest and I have a younger sister named Cassidy Murillo. I graduated from PA school 3 years ago, and now work in Spokane, WA as a physician assistant for an amazing vascular surgery practice. Since graduating PA school, I have been traveling all over the US and down under to Australia and New Zealand, and have the magnets to prove it. I have never been to Europe, but always have wanted to visit.
My younger sister is Cassidy Murillo. She is a former college basketball player, and now works at Boeing. She also enjoys traveling, and has been to many different places for work and for fun.
Our Dad is Raul Murillo. He has never been to a country where he has needed a Passport. He has been to Canada and Mexico, but never outside of North America. He works for Darigold.
Why a Rick Steves Tour?
My mother and her boyfriend went on the Best of Rome in 7 Days tour in February 2014. She showed me pictures of their experience. She told me that the hotel was arranged, breakfast was provided, transportation was arranged, and all of their entrance fees were covered and they did not have to wait in line for any of the attractions. They also had a tour guide that was with them for most of the experience, plus local guides who provided tours within most of the attractions. This sounded like the way to go. Head to a foreign country with essentially everything planned and arranged except for the flight. I talked with my sister and father over lunch about the Rick Steves’ tour, and they wanted to GO!
My sister immediately got onto her cell phone and looked up possible tour dates and destinations. Then, she looked up airfare. She wanted to head to Paris over Thansgiving. I told her I was in, as long as I could get the time off. My dad said he was in as well. We have never taken a “family vacation,” other than summer basketball tournaments to places like San Diego and Las Vegas when we were growing up. This would be our first “real” family vacation. I thought I would give it a few weeks to see if they were serious about this trip (I know that I was). Several days after our conversation, my sister was heckling me about reserving our airfare and making a deposit for the tour. I booked our airfare on March 22, 2014 and put down a deposit for the Best of Paris in 7 Days tour on April 4, 2014. Raul, Cassidy and Dacia Murillo were heading to Paris!
